Week 16 – Kindness: Does mine count

Practicing kindness is all together different than observing  kindness.  This was an interesting discovery this week.

Every morning it was exciting to know that globally Kindness was being practiced and observed.  Just the thought perpetuated smiling, which in turn caused more smiles, which then infected the day.

The first law in the Laws of Giving is, “Wherever I go, I bring a gift.  I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower…but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.”  Weeks ago when I wrote  the four Laws of Giving  on a card and read it every morning, I did what I promised.  Moving forward into this week of Kindness, I observed kindnesses performed by others.  What was a wonderful “gift” was to observe myself.  What had started weeks ago on a card was now a habit.  Could I count that?

As I continue the MKMMA course,  I continue to discover gifts like this.  The new, real me is emerging and I really love The Gal in the Glass.  The talons of the old Blue Print are attached deeper than I care to admit but the grip weakens as the person I am intended to be appears.

Masterminding daily has helped me to celebrate the positive forward motion.

Kindness – the gift that keeps on giving.

I can be the person I will to be.

I always keep my promises.

As I entered adulthood, I realized I was always someone who just followed the flow of the water. When I married my wonderful husband and began a family, I didn't follow the easy flow as much as I began to aspire to create a world in which my children could thrive. My first move was to home school. From my firstborn's first year of school to my youngest's last year of schooling, I was passionate about home education. To date, all have attended collage for at least 2 years. Two have BAs and one has a Master's Degree. Each is very goal oriented and as much as I would like to take credit, I watched something that was already in each of them develop and mature. The credit is the Creator's. Currently, I live in the Pacific Northwest with my wonderful, supportive husband, Steve.

  2. Yes, Louise you can count the kindnesses that have become habit. Just as we celebrated the small services we began doing way back in the beginning, these acts of kindness no matter what size should be acknowledged and celebrated.
